Malaysia Low Altitude Economy consultation opens
The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) has opened a public consultation on the proposed Malaysia Low Altitude Economy Framework.
Advisory Information 10/2026 invites views from industry participants, government agencies, academia, professional bodies, interested stakeholders and members of the public.
Proposed framework covers four strategic pillars
The proposed framework addresses the definition and scope of the Low Altitude Economy, its Vision, Mission and Guiding Principles, Enabling Foundations and a phased Implementation Roadmap.
Its four strategic pillars are Safe Aircraft, Safe Operations, Connected Infrastructure and Thriving Industry. CAAM says the national approach is intended to enable innovation and industry growth while supporting the safe, secure and sustainable integration of emerging low-altitude aviation technologies into Malaysian airspace.
