CAAM issues Advisory Information 05/2026 on revised FCL forms
The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) has issued Advisory Information 05/2026 dated 10 April 2026 on the implementation of revised Flight Crew Licensing (FCL) forms.
CAAM stated that the revision follows the introduction of its new corporate logo and identity and is intended to enhance standardisation and improve the accuracy of licensing processes.
Revised forms support personnel licensing compliance
According to the advisory, the revised forms are intended to support compliance with the applicable Civil Aviation Directives relating to Personnel Licensing.
CAAM stated that the revised FCL forms would be made available on its website on 10 April 2026.
Transition period runs until 16 April 2026
CAAM stated that during the transition period from 10 April 2026 to 16 April 2026, both the previous and revised versions of the forms would be accepted.
Effective 17 April 2026, only the revised FCL application forms will be accepted for all Flight Crew Licensing applications and renewals.
The advisory states that the revised FCL application forms supersede all previous versions.
Advisory lists revised flight crew licensing forms
The advisory lists revised forms covering student, private, commercial, multi-crew and airline transport pilot licensing, together with skill test, proficiency check, examination, validation and instructor-related forms.
The listed forms also include applications for radiotelephony, English language proficiency tests, flight tests, document requests, security clearance for non-Malaysians, and Designated Flight Examiner records and authorisations.
Updated forms apply to applications, checks and examiner records
Among the forms listed are applications for Student Pilot Licence, Private Pilot Licence, Commercial Pilot Licence, Multi-Crew Pilot Licence and Airline Transport Pilot Licence.
The revised set also includes single-pilot and multi-crew skill test and pilot proficiency check forms for aeroplane and helicopter operations, as well as examiner application and record forms.
