CAAM issues Advisory Information 07/2026
The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) has issued Advisory Information 07/2026 on the implementation of the Foreign Aircraft Operator supplementary station procedure under Civil Aviation Directive 1711.
The advisory notifies applicants and holders of the Foreign Aircraft Operator certificate in Malaysia that CAD 1711 Issue 01/Revision 00 took effect on 15 July 2026.
FOCAs must develop and submit an SSP
CAAM states that Foreign Aircraft Operators must develop and submit a supplementary station procedure using the SSP Model provided in the appendix of CAD 1711 as the primary regulatory framework.
The SSP Model is designed to support procedures that meet Malaysia regulatory requirements aligned with the National Civil Aviation Security Programme.
Application process goes through CAAM Aviation Security
FOCAs must formally request the SSP Model by submitting an official letter to CAAM's Aviation Security Division, after which a non-disclosure agreement must be signed before the model is disseminated.
CAAM will issue an approval letter after reviewing the submitted SSP and confirming that the requirements and procedures have been satisfied. The update is relevant to Aviation Malaysia coverage of foreign aircraft operator security compliance.
